Albon resigns with Williams 📝

Williams Formula 1 driver Alex Albon has secured a multi-year contract extension with the team, potentially spanning until 2027. Team Principal James Vowles praises Albon's talent. Seeing his signing as a significant step in Williams' journey towards competitiveness.

The move comes after a successful 2023 season that saw Williams rise to seventh in the constructors' standing. With this extension, Albon solidifies his position as a key asset for Williams, expressing belief in the team's long-term project.

Meanwhile, Albon's teammate Logan Sargeant faces uncertainty, with speculation suggesting he might be replaced by Mercedes junior Kimi Antonelli.

Newey reportedly signs with Ferrari 👀

Adrian Newey, Red Bull's esteemed technical officer, is reportedly set to join Ferrari, as per reports from the Daily Mail. Although the contract isn't finalized yet, sources suggest it's imminent.

Despite interest from McLaren and Williams, Ferrari seems to have secured Newey's services. He is expected to receive a substantial pay rise from his current £15m salary.

Newey's move aligns with Lewis Hamilton's speculated move to Ferrari in 2025, with Hamilton welcoming Newey's potential addition to the team.

He will formally leave Red Bull early next year, paving the way for his new role, potentially allowing him to influence his new team's 2026 car design, crucial for the upcoming F1 regulations change.

Haas suing Steiner 🏛️

Haas has filed a lawsuit against Guenther Steiner and his publisher, Ten Speed Press, alleging trademark infringement. This comes shortly after Steiner filed a lawsuit against Haas over unpaid commissions and unauthorized use of his likeness.

Haas Automation claims that Steiner's book, "Surviving to Drive," unlawfully uses their trademarks for personal gain, generating significant revenue without consent. The lawsuit also targets Steiner's publisher for allegedly being aware of the trademark ownership but failing to obtain permission.

The claims include trademark infringement, trade dress infringement, false designation of origin, and unfair business practices. Haas Automation seeks damages and a trial by jury. Steiner, a former team principal for Haas, has remained active in the paddock since the parties parted ways.
