It’s only fitting that we kick off our inaugural race weekend with a fun event that can be streamed by F1 and PGA Tour fans around the globe.”

Weather conditions for Las Vegas GP ❄️

This upcoming weekend, there is a chance that the weather drops below 5°C (41°F). Which would break the record for the coldest F1 race that was set in 1978 at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Some of the effects of cold weather on a race would include:

  • Harder to heat tires

  • Relationship between cooling and downforce levels

  • Impact grip levels and degradation rate

Mario Isola, the F1 chief for tire supplier Pirelli, told The Athletic, “It is probably the first time that we expect conditions this cold,” He acknowledged it would be a “big unknown” for drivers.

Ferrari in talks with Leclerc over contract extension 📝

This past weekend Ferrari and Charles Leclerc held discussions over a contract extension at the Brazilian Grand Prix. Leclerc currently stands in 7th place in the F1 standings and is still looking for a first win since the 2022 Austrian Grand Prix.

This year the Ferrari team has had countless of missed opportunities including Leclerc having his car stall out at the Brazilian GP this past weekend. Leclerc and fellow driver Carlos Sainz contract ends in 2024.

With the approaching winter break coming in a few weeks, it was expected that Ferrari would try to talk to Leclerc about his future with Ferrari before other teams try to approach and talk to him.

It will be interesting to see in the upcoming weeks if Ferrari is able to resign Leclerc. While also convincing him that they are progressing and headed in the right direction as a team.
