Oscar Piastri celebrated his first Formula One victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix amidst a dramatic race where McLaren faced internal challenges. Piastri, who led from the start but fell behind teammate Lando Norris after a strategic pit stop, ultimately regained the lead due to team orders.
Norris initially resisted, leading to tense radio exchanges, but eventually yielded with a few laps remaining. Magnussen Set to Leave Haas ๐
Haas announced Kevin Magnussen's departure from the team at the end of the 2024 Formula One season.
Magnussen, 31, the longest-serving driver in Haasโ F1 history, joined for his second stint in 2022 and will see his contract expire this year.
Esteban Ocon is expected to replace him, but Haas has not confirmed its 2025 driver lineup alongside Oliver Bearman.
Ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix, Magnussen praised Haas, saying he was "proud to have raced for such a great team" during his seven seasons.
Red Bull's Ambitious F1 Engine Project with Ford ๐ ๏ธ
Red Bull is undertaking a high-stakes venture with Ford to develop a new Formula 1 engine for the 2026 regulations, marking its largest-ever investment in motorsport. The team's new Red Bull Powertrains facility in Milton Keynes is fully operational. Aided by Ford's collaboration in personnel and facilities to accelerate development.
Despite the immense challenge of competing against established manufacturers like Mercedes and Ferrari, Red Bull insists that the engine project must succeed for its future championship aspirations.
The partnership with Ford evolved after discussions with Porsche fell through. Ensuring a collaborative approach without compromising Red Bull's independence.
