Norris claims 1st win in F1 š¾

With 110 races under his belt, we finally saw Lando Norris win his first F1 race this past weekend in Miami. Norris had fresher tires at the end of the race, enabling him to have enough distance between Max Verstappenās to keep out of DRS range.

Other things to note:
Fellow McLaren driver Oscar Piastri had back luck at the end of the race while battling Carlos Sainz. On turn 17 Sainz lost the rear of his car and made contract with Piastriās car. Damaging the front wing of his car. Resulting in Piastri to pit stop and finished P13.
American driver Logan Sargeant had a disappointing race. Leaving with a damaged car and no points scored.
Alpine scored its first points of the season with Esteban Ocon finishing P10.
Tom Garfinkel, the Miami Grand Prix managing partner confirmed that this yearās event is was another sell-out. Averaging 275,000 fans for the 3-day weekend.
U.S. Congress bring up competitive concerns to F1 over Andretti š
A group of bipartisan members from U.S. Congress sent a letter this past week to Liberty Media president Greg Maffei. It was over concerns as to why Andretti Global and General Motors were prevented from competing in Formula 1.
The F1 committee rejected the big thinking it didnāt think Andretti would be competitive in such a short time frame. Along with teams having concerns that the presence of an 11th F1 team wouldnāt add value to the championship from the commercial side.
Andretti Global said in a statement a week ago that, āWe remain committed to bringing the first US works team and power unit to F1 and to give American fans a home team to root for. It is our hope that this can be resolved swiftly so that Andretti Cadillac can take its rightfull approved pace on the grid in 2026. Our work continues at pace.ā
Gunther Steiner suing Haas šļø

Gunther Steiner, former Haas team president is suing Haas F1 team. Steiner has made claims that:
He has not been paid for commissions owed from 2021-2023.
Haas continues to sell merchandise with his likeness and use him on their website.
āAfter years of accepting the benefits of Mr. Steinerās reputation, experience, and deep connections within the sport, Haas F1 cannot withhold from Mr. Steiner the benefits he has earned,ā Steinerās attorneys wrote in the lawsuit.
