British Grand Prix Results & McLarenās Success

Max Verstappen won the British Grand Prix for the first time in his career this past weekend. This was his sixth consecutive win and now he has a 99-point lead in the drivers standing.
There was a new face on the podium this weekend with Lando Norris placing second. Norris was awarded driver of the day after his performance this past weekend. He had an excellent start to the race in having a faster start time than Verstappen and led the first four laps of Silverstone. This was McLarenās first podium finish since Imola 2022 and also their best team effort since Monza 2021.

2024 F1 Schedule Released
The upcoming schedule for the 2024 F1 season was released this past week. With there plans to be 24 races which will be the longest season F1 has ever had to date. There are a few changes to the schedule from the previous year. One of them being that the Chinese Grand Prix will return to the calendar since 2019.

Upcoming F1 movie featuring Brad Pitt
This past weekend at Silverstone, Brad Pitt was filming for an upcoming F1 featured film. The team behind āTop-Gun: Maverickā including Jerry Bruckheimer will help develop the film & Lewis Hamilton plans to be apart of the production team.
The fictional team for the movie is named āAPX GPā and Pittās character is named Sonny Hayes. Apple is the one that will be releasing the film and there yet to be a name or release date for the film.
Alpine promotes Bruno Famin to VP of Alpine Motorsports
Bruno Famin was formerly the head of Alpineās F1 engine division and was recently promoted to Vice President of Alpine Motorsports. He will now be in charge of the F1 team. This will add an extra layer of management between CEO Laurent Rossi and team principal Otmar Szafnauer.
