Williams Racing decision for last driver spot for 2024 F1 season

With Oscar Piastri contract extension with McLaren going until 2026, Williams racing is the only team now with one driver spot available for the 2024 F1 season. There has been speculation that Williams Racing will make a push for Liam Lawson of AlphaTauri over current driver Logan Sargeant.

Below are Lawson’s results since joining F1:

P13 🇳🇱, P11 🇮🇹, P9 🇸🇬, P11 🇯🇵

Those results have been impressive and have made people wonder if there will be a spot for Lawson in F1 next year. Christian Horner recently stated “It will be unlikely that they will take a driver for one year,” Horner told Sky when asked about the possibility of placing Lawson at Williams for next year.

It will be interesting to see in the upcoming weeks who Williams Racing will decide to sign as their second driver next to Alex Albon.

Red Bull wins Constructors Championship

With Red Bull clinching their 2nd straight Constructor’s Championship this past weekend, below are the results of the season so far with 6 races left this season:

Over the last 13 years, Red Bull & Mercedes are the only two teams to have won the constructors championship. Red Bull having won it six times and Mercedes winning it eight times.
