Car Launch Dates 🏎️

Over the upcoming weeks, teams plan to reveal their 2024 cars prior to the March 2nd start date to the season. Below are the teams that have launch dates confirmed and those that still need to be confirmed: :

Confirmed:

  • Williams: February 5th

  • Sauber: February 5th

  • Aston Martin: February 12th

  • Ferrari: February 13th

Teams still to be confirmed:

  • Reb Bull

  • Mercedes

  • McLaren

  • Alpine

  • Haas

  • AlphaTauri

2024 F1 reserve drivers 🛞

Confirmed:

  • Alfa Romeo: Theo Pourchaire

  • AlphaTauri: Liam Lawson

  • Aston Martin: Felipe Drugovich

  • McLaren: Ryo Hirakawa, Pato O’Ward

  • Mercedes: Mick Schumacher

Teams still to be confirmed:

  • Alpine

  • Ferrari

  • Haas

  • Red Bull

  • Williams

Some teams including McLaren have decided to sign new backup drivers. Le Mans winner Ryo Hirakawa and IndyCar driver Pato O’Ward for the upcoming season.

The only number that can’t be used in F1 is #17 who was last used by Jules Bianchi at the time of his accident in Suzuka in 2014.

Pierre Gasly - Won the 2013 Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup with the number 10. Also is a big fan of footballer Zinedine Zidane who played with the number 10 for the French team.

Fernando Alonso - At the age of 14, he became a world champion in karting with #14. “From that moment I knew #14 was my number,” he said.

Zhou Guanyu - He chose his number as a tribute to the basketball legend Kobe Bryant.
