Bearman expected to land seat in 2025 🏎️

Oliver Bearman, a Formula 2 driver currently with Prema Racing and a reserve for Ferrari and Haas, is likely to secure a full-time Formula 1 seat for 2025.

His standout performance came at the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, where he substituted for Carlos Sainz Jr. at Ferrari, impressing with an 11th place qualifying and finishing seventh in the race.

Bearman is expected to fill the vacant seat at Haas, left by Nico Hulkenberg's departure. Haas's improved performance in 2024, currently holding seventh in the constructors' race with seven points, adds to Bearman's anticipated move.

Ricciardo’s new off-track ventures 🎥

Daniel Ricciardo's Miami Grand Prix weekend took a sour turn as he failed to advance from Q1, starting last on the grid due to a penalty from China. Despite efforts, he finished 15th, contrasting Tsunoda's impressive 7th place.

Speculation mounts as racing pundit Richard Bradley suggests RB might replace Ricciardo with Liam Lawson in Imola.

However, Ricciardo's off-track ventures shine as he becomes the executive producer for a new F1 comedy series titled “Downforce”. The show will pilot on Disney's streaming service and will benefit from Ricciardo's F1 expertise.

"Downforce" follows a fictional narrative about an heiress taking charge of a family-owned Formula 1 team. Offering comedic and insightful perspectives into the world of F1 management, reminiscent of shows like "Entourage" and "Ballers."

Ferrari tests rain spray guards 💧

Ferrari recently conducted a test at their Fiorano facility involving two different concepts for reducing spray from Formula One cars in wet conditions.

One concept completely covered the front and rear tires, featuring holes at the front of the tire, while the other had spoke-like holes throughout the design.

The Ferrari concepts reportedly provide more coverage than those tested previously. This innovation aims to enhance safety and race conditions, especially in challenging weather scenarios like the 2021 Belgian Grand Prix, which had to be cut short due to adverse weather conditions.

F1 viewership record in USA 📺

The Miami Grand Prix this weekend achieved a new Formula One viewership record in the United States, with an average of 3.1 million viewers tuning in for ABC's broadcast, peaking at 3.6 million.

This marks a significant increase from previous years, with the inaugural Miami GP in 2022 averaging 2.6 million viewers and last year's race dropping to 1.96 million.

The 2024 viewership reflects a 48 percent rise from 2023 and nearly a 20 percent increase over 2022.
