Drama between Red Bull Drivers at Austrian F1 Sprint race
In the beginning of this past weekend’s sprint race on the first lap, there was a moment on the first turn where both Red Bull drivers narrowly avoided crashing into each other causing frustration over the team’s radio.
Even with the poor conditions and potential crash, Max Verstappen won in dominant fashion finishing 21 seconds ahead of second place finisher and fellow Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez. After the race the two drivers downplayed the the situation to media and talked things out as soon as they got out of their cars.

Highlights from Austrian Grand Prix
Max Verstappen wins the Austrian Grand Prix which is his seventh win this season and five consecutive wins that dates back to the Miami Grand Prix.
McLaren’s upgrade to Lando Norris car going into this past weekend race resulting in a Q4 finish which was his best finish to date this year. Norris was awarded driver of the day for his performance.
Eight drivers were penalized in the Austrian Grand Prix after a review of track limit offense. After the race Aston Martin protested the race results stating that multiple drivers didn’t receive penalties for exceeding track limits.

Ryan Reynolds, Rob McElhenney & Michael B. Jordan Investment in Apline
Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds, Rob McElhenney, & Michael B. Jordan will be apart of an investor group including RedBird Capital Partners and Otro Capital to purchase 24% stake in Alpine.
Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi stated "This association is an important step to enhance our performance at all levels.”
"The incremental revenue generated will in turn be reinvested in the team, in order to further accelerate our Mountain Climber plan, aimed at catching up with top teams in terms of state-of-the-art facilities and equipment."
Hitech Grand Prix submits bid for 2026 season
Hitech was founded in 2015 and currently races in F2, F3, & F4. After announcing that Kazakh businessman Vladimir Kim acquired 25% share in Hitech, they decided to apply to join F1 for 2026.
Lewis Hamilton Contract Disputes
With six months until his current contact with Mercedes ends, Lewis Hamilton has yet to sign an extension despite having multiple meetings with team principal Toto Wolff.
Even with the rumors of Hamilton leaving for Ferrari earlier in the race season, Wolff stated at last month’s Canadian GP that the deal for Hamilton was going to happen soon.
With Silverstone GP happening this weekend, we shall see in the upcoming weeks if a contract will be finalized.
