Adrian Newey to leave Red Bull ✌️

News came out this past week that Adrian Newey, the technical genius behind Red Bull’s success for the past 20 years plans to leave Red Bull.

Despite agreeing a new long-term deal less than a year ago until 2025, it has been understood that Newey has been unimpressed with the situation around Horner. Who has been in the spotlight for months over allegations made by a female member of staff.

According to a report from Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, Ferrari are prepared to negotiate with Newey to ensure he’s able to work on their 2026 F1 car. With a contract up to $25 million year. Though retirement is one thing you can’t rule out if Newey wants to step away from

Hulkenberg to Sauber 📝

This past weekend, Audi F1 CEO Andreas Seidl has made Niko Hulkenberg his first signing prior to the team becoming Audi in 2026.

Hulkenberg stated, "When a German manufacturer enters Formula One with such determination, it is a unique opportunity. To represent the factory team of such a car brand with a power unit made in Germany is a great honour for me."

Hulkenberg, who previously drove one season for Sauber in 2013, has also represented Williams, Force India, Renault, Racing Point and Aston Martin.

Potential Point System change 📊

Formula 1’s point systems could possibly change in 2025, which could extend to the top 12 instead of the top 10.

This upcoming Thursday at the F1 Commission meeting (the regular summit between 10 teams, f1, and the FIA) would needed to be voted through to become the new rules from next year.

The proposal would only change the points from P8 to P12. Reaction from drivers have been split. Alpine driver Pierre Gasly saying “if you’re not in the top 10 you’ve just to go work harder”.
